Dawson Elections Commission
The Dawson Elections Commission is responsible for overseeing and administering all DSU elections and referenda. The Elections Commission ensures that elections and referenda are conducted fairly, transparently, and in accordance with the DSU Constitution and the DSU Elections & Referenda Standing Regulations.
The Elections Commission is led by the Chief Returning Officer (CRO) who appoints the Deputy Returning Officer (DRO) to assist in carrying out its duties. Each year, the Elections Commission is allocated a budget to support the planning and executions of elections and referenda.

Meet The Team
Katherine Ilievska
The Chief Returning Officer shall:
oversee and manage the voting process’ of Elections and Referenda; Manage the elections budget; Coordinate all activities relating elections; and more. Please read DSU Constitution for more information.
Richard Ma-Yang
The Deputy Returning Officer will be the deputy to the Chief Returning Officer. The Deputy Returning Officer will assume any task and exercise any powers delegated to them in the course of their mandate. Please read DSU Constitution for more information.
